There is no charge to passengers riding entirely within Fareless Square. Fareless SquareDowntown Portland offers a Fareless Square for those visitors and residents utilizing public transportation options in the downtown area. All trips beginning and ending within Fareless Square are free. This includes TriMet buses, Portland Streetcars and Max trips. Fareless Square includes most of downtown Portland. Smart ParkingIf choosing to park, an excellent resource for determining the amount of parking in Downtown Portland is the online Smart Park real time update of available parking spaces. The Smart Park site gives visitors an up-to-date count of Smart Park spaces in these lots. This gives visitors an idea of how busy the downtown area is during a given time.
