Corvallis Oregon, home of the Oregon State University Beavers, is located in the Willamette Valley, characterized by amazing sites, sounds and unique beauty.

Take a trip to Corvallis, Oregon and visit these amazingly unique and interesting sites.

1. Take a tour of Oregon State University, home of the 2-Time NCAA Baseball National Champion, Oregon State Beavers. They became the first team since 1990 to win its first College World Series game and national title in the same season, in 2006. It was the team's first National Title, and the university's second. During the spring, watch the team practice and play at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field on the OSU campus. As you walk around campus, discover antiquated rhododendron shrubs, magnificent magnolia trees and watch the squirrels scamper through the grass. Enjoy one of the many festivals on campus.
2. Stroll along the Willamette River. A nicely paved path follows the riverbank downtown. On Saturdays, catch the local Farmer’s Market, selling fresh fruits and vegetables.
3. Hike through the Siuslaw National Forest and Mary’s Peak. From the peak, rising to an altitude of 4,097 feet, view the Pacific Ocean to the west and to the east, the Cascade Mountains. Hike one of five trails or pitch a tent at the campground.
4. Attend the daVinci Days in July. This festival brings together art, music, hands-on activities and teaching for all ages. The festival prides itself at being “a da Vinci-style weekend at the crossroads of art, science, and technology.”
5. Grab a bite to eat and a microbrew beer at McMenamins on Monroe, one of the many pub and breweries owned by an OSU grad and his brother. The McMenamins establishments focus on historical preservation of buildings and imaginative decoration. Try one of the many fresh microbrews on tap.
6. Play golf at Trysting Tree Golf Course, a traditional Scottish link style course, situated along the Willamette River. Watch out for those sand traps! The course is home to the Oregon State University Golf team.
7. Take a bicycle tour of the city. Bike routes guide cyclists along the Willamette and Mary’s River, to Avery Park and bike lanes are available on most city streets. There are also many mountain biking trails throughout the surrounding hills.
8. Visit an art gallery. The Corvallis Arts Center, located in the old Corvallis Episcopal Church, exhibits local and regional art, hosts artist gallery talks, and gives workshops. This gallery is the center of the Corvallis Fall Festival, held in September.
9. Drink wine from one of the 200 Willamette Valley Wineries. The Willamette Valley contains the majority of Oregon wineries and vineyards. Located just 20 miles from Corvallis, Airlie Winery, specializes in “vintage dated Oregon premium wines.” Come taste the 2005 Muscat Ottonel, a Gold winning dessert wine, on weekend afternoons. Wine tasting is available during open hours.
10. Study history by visiting the Benton County Courthouse, built in 1889. This landmark of Corvallis, is easy to spot from most elevated points surrounding the city. This landmark is one of the most photographed sites in Corvallis.
